The powerful functionality that Rapla has to offer is useful to all those who want to plan events and schedule the use of various resources. You’re very well advised to get the application and use it for managing a variety of events with ease.

To get started with Rapla, you do not have to go through an installation process. To get it up and running on your Windows-powered machine, you need only download a close to 8Mb archive, extract its contents, and run the rapla.exe inside. The fact that Rapla does not have to be installed makes it portable, of course. Feel free to put the application on a USB stick, for example, and take it with you.

On the left side of Rapla’s interface you will see a list of resources, users, event types, categories, and periods. Underneath it there’s a pane that lists any existing conflicts.
What you see on the right depends on the view type you select. From a handy dropdown you can switch between Day, Week, Month, and other types of views. By default the Week view is selected when you launch Rapla.

With Rapla, you can easily set up a one-time or a recurring event and you can assign any resource you want to that event. All the events you create will be displayed on the application’s interface so you can easily view or edit them. You will want to edit them if there are any conflicts; and if there are any problems with the events you create, said problems will be displayed in the Conflicts pane in the bottom left hand corner of the application’s interface.

Rapla is released under a GNU license, meaning that the application is free. You can enjoy the functionality it has to offer without having to part with your money.

Schedule events and assign resources with ease by getting the free Rapla application.

Pros

Rapla does not have to be installed, which means it’s portable. Switch between Day, Week, Month, or Events View with ease. Use the application to schedule resources and set up events. If there are any problems, they will be presented in the Conflicts pane. Rapla is free.

Cons

None that I could think of.
